My roommate is freaking out about the possibility of an earthquake in Southern California and just spent ten minutes schooling me in water preparation techniques.

I... don't know how to feel about this.

I mean, granted, an earthquake is extremely likely where we live, especially since it's a few thousand years overdue and all, but at the same time I'm ... not really worried about it? Partly because it's not really something that can be prevented and so there's no use stressing over the inevitable, and partly because I feel like we'll be fine. Again, this earthquake has been overdue for a while, so California is prepared -- there's emergency relief programs in place, all the buildings are reinforced so they don't fall over, earthquake preparedness is taught in schools, etc. There will be some damage because that can't be prevented no matter what, but on the whole I think we'll come out of it okay.

This post is probably going to bite me in the ass later, I can feel it.

Is there anybody out there who could beta a (relatively) short Glee fic? It's called "Five Times Someone From New Directions Felt Up Mike Chang (And One Time It Was an Accident, Honest)", and it's pretty much exactly what you think. It's a surprise story for a certain someone(s). :)

I'm just a bit worried because I haven't written Glee fan fiction since January and I'm not sure all the characters' voices are right. I'm a bit rusty with the narration, too, as the majority of what I have been writing in the past year have been dialogue-heavy scripts without a lot of scene descriptions. If anyone can help out, I'd be super grateful!

Hello F-list!

Normally I wouldn’t do something like this, but a bit of a financial emergency has arisen - in that I am recently graduated and therefore flat broke, have been trying (and failing) to get a full-time job for at least three months in a market where no one is hiring, and am down to the very last of my savings.

So I’m taking commissions. I unfortunately can’t draw like so many of the people on my f-list can, so I started thinking of what I could actually offer. I’ve been writing since first grade, and I’ve been doing professional graphic design for six years, so … I’m offering both writing and graphic design commissions. And since I’m a new and therefore unknown presence, I’m offering them real cheap!
